About Me

Growing up in Houston, Texas, the home for the largest medical center in the world, I have always been passionate about the power of medicine to change lives. Pursuing a double major in Biology (Pre-Medical) and Neuroscience at Xavier University of Louisiana, I am driven by a deep desire to address the disparities in healthcare that disproportionately affect Black and Brown communities. My aspiration is to become a cardiothoracic surgeon, a field that not only fascinates me but also offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact where it is most needed. Through my studies, I am committed to not only mastering the scientific and medical knowledge required to excel in this field, but also to advocating for a healthcare system that is inclusive, compassionate, and representative of the people it serves. I believe that every patient deserves a healthcare team that listens to them, fights for their well-being, and truly sees them as individuals. My ultimate goal is to contribute to closing the gap in healthcare access and representation, ensuring that people of all backgrounds receive the care they deserve from physicians who reflect their experiences and challenges.
